We started remodeling our kitchen and laundry room on New Years day.
We have been making really good progress lately. Bryan has been able to be home and work on it everyday. The plumbing is now 100% complete. He should wrap up the electrical this week leaving the drywall next to be completed. Our hope is to have the cabinet guy out next week.
Our new laundry room door - 6 panel solid wood…the door I’ve dreamed about.
No matter what room you remodel in your house there is always another room that takes the hit. This is our dinning room. Our table has been covered since January. It’s a good thing we don’t host many dinner parties! Surprisingly this hasn't bothered me that much. The thing I miss the most – ice cubes! Next week we will be able to hookup the icemaker…that's a huge deal :)
Never, and I mean never start a project at 8pm. You are likely to uncover something that will give you the willies. We removed a cabinet over our peninsula that will open up the whole kitchen. We decided to do it late one night and uncovered a lot of spider webs and grossness that has been compiling since 1958. We are very resourceful and we used gaff, frog, and duct tape to secure a trash bag to the wall. Once the cabinet guy measures we will be able to remove all the cabinets and clean everything.
I can not wait until it is all complete and I can share before and after pictures!
